 In Faith, Redefining Wealth PODCAST

“You have to remain in the present when you dream” - @teracarissa Click To Tweet

Don’t let people lie to you, there are haters out there. The more you chase your purpose, the more they will appear.

One thing you can’t let them do is take you away from your purpose. It’s important to stay strong, know who you are, and be confident in your mission.

And if you’re not where you want to be in life yet, remember that you can always rebound from anything. After the recession, I was literally scraping change off the street. Now, today, my life is wealthier than ever in all aspects.

All you have to do is be willing to grow and evolve. And along your journey, just remember what our amazing guest on this episode says – “you can not have a resurrection without a crucifixion.”

Speaking of our guest, we are joined by one of the most powerful speakers I’ve ever been blessed to be around, Tera Carissa Hodges. I’ve been following Tera for quite some time, and it truly is an honor to share her with you.

Tera enjoys being of service to all mankind. She’s an empowerment champion through her speaking, media appearances, coaching, and mentoring. She’s always helping people become empowered, despite their past and mistakes is her passion. She enjoys serving the community through outreach initiatives and organizations she supports.

From her Life Now Luncheons were she encourages women of all ages to press pass their pain and live their best life now, to anti-bullying campaigns for teens, and more, she travels extensively domestically and internationally to minister in speaking, media interviews and more.

Tera is a woman of many accomplishments and mistakes, her motto is: We all make mistakes. But we don’t have to allow our mistakes to make us. Move on and GROW FORWARD.

Download this episode today to hear how you can grow, deal with haters, and be more in touch with your spiritual side along the way.

The Cliff Notes:

  • There are haters in the world, and you have to know who you are to be confident in the battle.
  • You also need to know who you are not.
  • You can not have a resurrection without a crucifixion.
  • When you do purpose work, not just busy work, you are going to come under attack.
  • Your past will identify the audience who is not only willing to receive you but is willing to pay for you.
  • You can rebound from anything.
  • When you bash other people’s past it’s because you can’t accept your past.
  • Learn to recognize what’s worth fighting, and what’s worth leaving alone.
  • If you want to read sections of the Bible, focus on Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
  • It’s important to be willing to grow and evolve.
  • Just because you start in one place, spiritually, doesn’t mean you have to stay there.
  • Loyalty has an expiration date.
  • Your past, pain and passion will help you define your purpose.
  • Pay attention to the people who have a problem with you saying no.
  • No one who is successful has had an easy past, everyone has had to go through something.

I was literally mid way through trying to make a comment! GIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRLLLLLLL YES!! This one right here… all I can say is Yes! The piece about the “mentor” was not so much jealous of you but your time… I completely get it now, I’ve been going through a similar situation and I couldn’t for the life of me understand, “why little ole’ me”.. but it truly has me now looking at it with a different perspective.

    Thank you!!

This was so good! I listened to this for breakfast this morning and what a great decision! My biggest takeaway was realizing how your pain and past can position you to your millions! In addition to time being the currency that mentors wish they had over you when they aren’t completely full in their live *I totally paraphrased that* LISTEN!

I know I tell you this every week but y’all were all in my business!!!! You are only giving them a place that they wouldn’t have without you!! WOW!!! Also Tera says you have to stay focus don’t let attacks derail you. My parents are divorcing, my dog died on Sunday and one of my favorite teachers died Monday but I’m still pushing through. I refuse to let depression take over. I’m ready for the next level. Thank you so much.

Oh my goodness! This was by far one of the best interviews; Tera Carissa Hodges had me shouting to the rooftop lol There was so much to take away from this interview. I’m in my car and can’t take notes but I will be listening again and again to get these gems down on paper. Thanks Patrice for showing up and delivering for us every week. God Bless!

Two words confirmed and convicted. These words describes me after listening to this episode. I literally just prayed to God this week about direction and the next move for my business. I got my answered today from Tera when she said “your past would point you in the direction of your millions”. I’m blown away right now. This is the reason why I make sure to listen, read, or watch something inspirational and/or spiritual every day because you never know how your breakthrough will come. Our mental and spiritual well-being is so important which is why I’m going to listen to this interview again right now.

Purpose! Passion! My past is part of my purpose, it identifies who I am supposed to connect with. This piece of truth is powerful and transformative. So many people are trying to figure out their purpose and passion. This episode really gives direction for finding that. I felt inspired and motivated to evaluate my past and own it in efforts to connect with others!

I’m 21 years old, and I’m on a current space where I really am trying to decipher the good bad and the ugly in my life. It’s a heavy spiritual journey in terms of understand God and His purpose for me and honestly when I tell you this particular podcast woke something up in me! Truly ever since the Marshawn podcast and this podcast with Tera, I’ve been getting a real understanding of how to go about my purpose and understanding what that really is. As a current college student and rising senior its sooo draining and stressful just thinking about “well dang what am I really doing after all this?” and just learning to stop over stressing over this season in my life and really focus on what it is God wants me to focus on. Thank you so much Patrice for this podcast, I truly admire women like you who pave the way for young women like me. You really are blessing me in so many ways and I thank you so much for that!
